What is SpillCop?
SpillCop Exchange is an automated environmental spill remediation solution that allows clients to effectively manage the incident information via the Internet.

Where does it apply?
Any time a company has responsibility for the remediation of incidents related to environmental spills/clean up.

Is SpillCop a product or service?
SpillCop is both. SpillCop provides a true automated solution to total environmental spill management by providing a single Internet application (the product). The service is our SRC or SpillCop Resource Center, this is a national center where SpillCop agents enter incident information such as the contractor’s time and expense, incident activity, etc. on behalf of contractors, managing agents, and our clients.

What is SpillCop's offering breakdown?
SpillCop is a scalable offering with two distinct models. These models are designed to fulfill the unique needs of individual clients allowing for the self-insured, who may directly contact third parties such as the clean up contractors, and our managed services, where our clients use managing agents to oversee the remediation process. Also a hybrid of these models works very well. Snapshot breakdowns of these models are as follows:
  • SpillCop Exchange Self-Service Model Excellent choice in cutting out the middle man. In this model you directly interact with the spill remediation contractors, and any other related third party. This includes our SpillCop Resource Center service to handle most all the manual entry of information.
  • SpillCop Exchange Managed Service Model Fulfilling the need for a comprehensive managed contractor program that leverages all SpillCop technology but eliminates you spending time on the system. This model allows third party or managing agents to interact with the spill remediation contractors in your behalf. This includes our SpillCop Resource Center service to handle most all the manual entry of information.

Can I expect a reduced response timeline and faster access to information by utilizing SpillCop?
Yes, SpillCop Exchange is designed to reduce cycle times in locating qualified contractors. Reducing the amount of mis-communications and increasing instant access to real-time information, SpillCop integrates all the critical components in incident response, resulting in faster access to information.

Can SpillCop integrate with my ERP?
Yes, SpillCop can integrate with all major ERP software systems.

Can SpillCop accommodate multiple managing agents?
Yes, SpillCop is also a contractor management tool. SpillCop allows managing agents to better coordinate activities and negotiate rates with contractors.

Can SpillCop act as contractor neutral software?
Yes, SpillCop is a contractor neutral system which delivers requirements to each client selected contractor or managing agent. In addition, if contractor preference is desired to be eliminated, the contractor name can be withheld from the client end user.

Does SpillCop save more than it costs?
Yes, SpillCop generates savings that are much more than its fees. That is the model for its growth. Additionally, SpillCop rates by percentage of the remediation cost are reduced for the larger incidents and are capped with no additional fees after a certain threshold is met.

What minimum guidelines should be used to determine if SpillCop would be a good fit?
Our experience is that a client that utilizes more than 10 contractors per year and/or handles more than 50 envrionmental remediation incidents per year benefits very well.

How long does it take to implement?
SpillCop is a Web-based application predominantly utilized in an ASP environment which significantly minimizes implementation time required. Implementation in the ASP environment primarily involves client administration set up and training rollout. Depending on the scope of client requirements, directory set up, and scheduling , SpillCop can usually be implemented on average in 30 days. Additional development requests for enhancements, customizations, and/or integration can significantly impact this date and will be evaluated on an individual client basis.

What support capabilities should I expect from SpillCop?
SpillCop has the unique SpillCop Resource Center (SRC) that supports data entry services, training, and help desk functions. Quality agents support this function and is key to the timely and accurate information provided in SpillCop Exchange.
